Not only do you have to come up with a name for your new venture, you also have to decide on a logo, the colors you will use and the typography that will define you, for the rest of your life! Just kidding, you can revamp your image at any time but it is better if you only make minor changes so as not to confuse your audience. Thoughtful planning can help ensure that the process goes smoother for you. What message do you want to convey?
Colors: yellow = happy, joy, hope, friendship; brown = earth, stability, comfort, simplicity ; white = pure, deity, cleanliness, peach; red = powerful, excitement, energy, passion; pink = love, romance, caring, tenderness; green = good luck, nature, healthy, renewal, youth; blue = dependable, tranquil, harmony, trustworthy; black = high quality, power, sexuality, sophistication; purple = royalty, mysterious, wisdom, dignity; silver = technology; gold = expensive. orange = energy, balance, enthusiasm. Of course these are all generalities and can vary from culture to culture.
Typography: Serif = traditional, sophisticated, practical, formal; Sans Serif = modern, clean, humanistic, universal; Script = elegant, classic, formal; Slab Serif = bold, contemporary, trendy.
Shapes: squares and rectangles = honesty, stability and solidity; triangle = energy, power and action; circle = unity, commitment, and love; spirals = transformation and mystery.
